Deshawna Colvin is an innovative development professional. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 2005. She has worked at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi for 11 years. In her recent position, she serves as the Communications Coordinator for the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. She holds a bachelor of science in psychology, masters in management, and will graduate in December 2020 with her second master's in instructional design and educational technology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Her drive has led her to acquire determination, independence, initiative, and an urge to be proactive in her daily life. Her goal is to continue providing opportunities for personal, educational, and professional development to others. She is married to Maurice L. Colvin, III and they have four children.
